Safety precautions for earthwork excavation

2. Earthwork excavation must be carried out from top to bottom. It is forbidden to dig holes, empty footings and excavate and extend suspended soil to prevent landslides

3. When more than one person excavates at the same time, sufficient safety distance shall be maintained, and the horizontal spacing shall not be less than 2m, and the longitudinal spacing shall not be less than 3m. Face to face excavation is prohibited

4. It is forbidden to wear gloves when digging with a pickaxe to avoid injury caused by the release of tools

5. In case of cables, pipelines, underground buried objects or unidentified objects during earthwork excavation, the operation shall be stopped immediately, and special personnel shall be assigned to watch and report to the construction director immediately. It is strictly prohibited to knock, dig or play with at will

5. When the excavation depth of foundation pit and foundation trench is greater than 2m, protective railings should be set around the pit and trench to provide a methodological guarantee for the laboratory confirmation of recycled plastics

6. During deep foundation pit excavation, operators shall use ladders or set up ramps to go up and down. It is forbidden to step on the fixed wall support or dig holes on the soil wall

7. When throwing soil from the foundation pit and foundation trench, it shall be thrown at least 1m away from the edge of the pit and trench, and the stacking height shall not exceed 1.5m

8. When excavating deep foundation pit, slope shall be made according to design requirements or solid wall support shall be adopted for protection

9. When working in sections with poor geology where retaining works are provided, the retaining works shall be built in sections in addition to section excavation

10. During the operation, the operators shall not rest under the step slope, deep pit and scarp. During operation, the stability of the slope soil wall shall be observed at any time. In case of cracks, looseness, water seepage or support fracture, displacement and other phenomena on the slope soil wall, the operators shall evacuate the operation site first, and immediately report to the construction director to take effective measures in time. The operation can be continued only after the danger is eliminated

11. When excavating on the sloping slope, the operator shall fasten the safety belt. When excavating the earthwork with stones on the slope, the larger stones must be removed first, and the measures to intercept the dangerous stones should be set before removing the dangerous stones. During operation, vehicles and pedestrians are forbidden to pass under the slope

12. When excavating near the pole, the earth table shall be reserved for the stay ridge and pole body that cannot be cancelled. The radius of the earth table is 1..5m for the pole and 1..5m for the stay wire, and the slope gradient is determined according to the soil quality. Warning posts shall be inserted around the earth platform

13. During earthwork excavation near the road, fences and guard boards shall be set around the operation area, warning signs shall be set, and red lights shall be set at night

14. The stability of soil wall and support must be checked every day, and the work shall continue under the condition of ensuring safety. Soil and other objects shall not be piled on the support, nor shall they walk or stand under the support

15. During mechanical operation, the shovel shall not be too deep and the lifting shall not be too fierce

16. The mechanical equipment shall be transported to the site for maintenance, inspection and test run to keep it in good working condition

17. The mechanical excavation shall be carried out in layers and the slope shall be laid reasonably to prevent mechanical overturning, drowning and other accidents caused by collapse and slope sliding

18. Irrelevant personnel are not allowed to enter the site in the mechanical construction area. No one is allowed to stand or perform other operations within the working turning radius of the excavator

19. Follow the on-site command for excavator walking and truck loading driving; All vehicles shall be driven in strict accordance with the prescribed driving route to prevent collision

20. For night operation, there must be sufficient lighting on the aircraft and at the working place

21. The excavation area and surrounding areas must be well drained without ponding
